Opel Corsa OPC Irmscher
The Opel Corsa debuted the new year with an engine that uses mild hybrid technology. It comes in two versions with automatic transmission that stand out for their good performance and low consumption. All this after the renovation we saw last year, which gave the car a sportier appearance.
Now, brand enthusiasts miss a spicier version with OPC's signature, a version that we are unlikely to see again. Luckily, Irmscher has been offering individual solutions for vehicles for half a century, especially in the Opel line, where we have seen interesting adjustments to its models, and the renewed Corsa is no exception.
This Opel Corsa follows in the footsteps of other Irmscher proposals and now appears more muscular than the street version. The German specialist achieved this thanks to the installation of parts designed to improve aerodynamics, dynamics and functionality. There are also some chassis adjustments missing, such as the suspension lowered by 30 mm and a new set of alloy wheels.
Called ‘Turbo Star’, they feature an 18-inch size with a multi-spoke design. They are available in black or two-tone finishes. Regarding the aerodynamic package, we can see front bumper extensions, a splitter, side skirts, a renewed black hood and a more provocative roof spoiler that displays this same color.
In contrast there are details in red. All improvements can be applied to any version of the Opel Corsa, including the electric one. Now, mechanical improvements are reserved for internal combustion engines, which can add up to an additional 20 hp in the best case scenario. Remembering that the most powerful is the 1.2 Turbo MHEV with 136 hp.
