McLAREN
Introducing the McLaren 750S with 3-7-59 Theme
McLaren is the only brand that has achieved the feat of obtaining the Triple Crown of Motorsport, that is, winning the Monaco F1 GP, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Indianapolis 500. A feat that has been remembered throughout the year, with different initiatives on the track remembering some of the most spectacular decorations in history. In this way, during some Grands Prix of this 2023 Formula 1 season such as Monaco, Spain and Canada, Norris and Piastri's McLaren MCL60 displayed a special livery that combined the style of the three McLaren champion cars that formed that Triple Crown, at the same time as At the Indianapolis 500, each of the three main cars with which the brand participated in the oval race did so with a livery inspired by one of these three cars.
Now this high-style celebration of a crown that no other brand holds leaves the circuits and reaches McLaren Automotive's street cars through MSO, its famous customization department that presents a spectacular Art Car based on the new McLaren 750S with the called 3-7-59 Theme, which combines the three liveries on the same body: Johnny Rutherford's McLaren M16D #3 that won the 1974 Indianapolis 500, Alain Prost's MP4/2 #7 that won the Grand Prix 1984 Monaco Formula 1 Championship and the #59 McLaren F1 GTR driven by Yannick Dalmas, Masanori Sekiya and JJ Lehto to victory in the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans.
To create this eye-catching combination of the 3-7-59 Theme, McLaren Special Operations required 1,200 hours of hand painting and specially selected materials on this carbon fiber body, which even shows faithful effects of dirt and damage to the car. that Art Car touch. In this way, the nose recalls the famous Marlboro decoration of the McLaren F1s during the 70s, 80s and 90s, the black with a 59 decoration on the door references that completely black McLaren F1 GTR from Ueno Clinic Tokyo and finally the rear with its touches Papaya orange and blue are reminiscent of McLaren's most classic and recent cars, including Rutherford's M16D with its number 3. All this decoration is also accompanied by small details of McLaren's special logo in honor of this triple crown, present in the area of front fenders and with subtle three stars below the spectacular rear spoiler of this 750S.
Its interior also features a most exclusive finish, with designs on the Alcantara upholstery in carbon gray and again the McLaren Triple Crown logo in orange, as well as the belts, although there are also details in red and white on the dashboard. and on the gear shift paddles, and of course, lots of carbon fiber. Another brilliant detail are the three orange, white and black stars present on the accelerator pedal, although the real signature of the work is the special plaque that we can find on the door sills with the name of the version and its place of creation. A license plate also created using the red and white carbon fiber bodywork of a real Formula 1 car.
The model presented at the Velocity Invitational in Sonoma, California, with current and former McLaren drivers such as Lando Norris, Pato O'Ward and Derek Bell, will not just be a show car, but will end up in the garages of six lucky owners with its six copies, all of which have already been reserved, for the modest price of 700,000 dollars, according to one of those responsible for the British brand.
