Peugeot recently announced that the all-electric model E-3008 will make its official debut next week (September 12), but as it happens, this novelty was revealed before the planned promotion thanks to these leaked photos.

The French describe the E-3008 as a “completely new electric fastback-SUV” emphasizing its zero-emission powertrain and aerodynamic silhouette that will be much more aerodynamic compared to its predecessor.

As expected, the images reveal that the new E-3008 features Peugeot’s current design language, modeled on the design elements of the 408 model, only with a shorter and more upright stance.

Another interesting element is the design of the wheels, which will become a new style signature for the French brand, along with a large grille, elegant lighting and lights with triple claws.

The compact SUV is based on the new STLA Medium architecture, intended to replace the EMP2 platform. It will be available with three electric drive options and will offer a driving range of up to 700 km.

Versions will include four-wheel drive and two motors, but the single-motor, two-wheel drive setup is expected to make up the majority of sales.

The base version will have an engine with 210 HP and 343 Nm, 73 kWh batteries and a range of up to 525 km. Next is the variant with longer autonomy, which has 230 hp and 343 Nm, and which, with 98 kWh batteries, has an autonomy of up to 700 km.

At the top is the Dual Motor version with a total of 320 HP, and with 73 kWh batteries, the range is up to 525 km.

By the way, Peugeot has previously shown with several official pictures what the panoramic i-Cockpit interior looks like in the new e-3008.

The central part of the dashboard is a new 21-inch curved panoramic screen that combines the digital instrument panel, head-up display and touch screen into one unit. The right side of the curved screen is touch-sensitive and provides access to infotainment, settings and climate controls. An additional touchscreen on the center console features i-Toggles with 10 customizable locations that replace the old aircraft-style switches.

Peugeot has kept the distinctive small-diameter two-spoke steering wheel, but the new unit has a row touch-sensitive controls with a “tactile click” function to avoid accidental handling. These are combined with two new “slim and elegant” controls placed behind the steering wheel.

The high-mounted central tunnel looks even more futuristic than in the outgoing Peugeot 3008, with additional controls including a cylindrical volume knob and an electric parking brake.

The automatic transmission selector has been moved and is located next to the start-stop button.

The rest of the dashboard looks like an evolution of the current theme. 8-colour ambient lighting above the “real aluminum trim” and high-quality fabrics create a premium look for the new 3008, supporting Peugeot’s luxury move.
