The top version of the Mustang Mach-E that can also be taken off-road is ready
Although it is classified as a leisure car, the Ford Mustang Mach-E is not meant to leave the built infrastructure with it. However, exactly 1 year ago, they decided to change this, and in Goodwood they showed the then-still-disguised prototype, which was now officially presented as the Mach-E Rally. It will soon be the range-topping model, with a starting price of $65,000 targeted in the US – the base Mach-E is $43,000, and the most expensive Mach-E GT to date costs $60,000.

The latter was the starting point, but the all-wheel drive with 2 drive motors was retuned, so the driver has 487 HP/880 Nm at his disposal, and the battery has a net capacity of 91 kWh. The ground clearance is increased by 20 mm, the suspension uses MagneRide shock absorbers, 385 mm diameter brake discs are mounted up front, clamped by red-painted Brembo calipers. The 19-inch rims are fitted with 235/55 Michelin CrossClimate2 four-season tires, their sidewalls and pattern are suitable for dirt roads.

The new feature of the Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally is the RallySport mode, in which case the electronic interventions give the driver some room to play, the gas reaction becomes sharper and the shock absorbers are stiffened. During the development, the engineers tested the car at a rally speed of about 800 km for the sake of safety – for their own amusement – and found it suitable, so the distribution in the USA will soon start, and then the new top model will come to Europe.
