AUTONEWS

The six-wheeled Lamborghini is a dangerous sight

At the end of 2017, the production of Lamborghini’s luxury SUV, the Urus, began, with which the brand cut its ax in a big way, as it was previously known for its powerful sports cars. Someone managed to make the Urus – which is very popular despite its “eccentric” nature – even more crazy, with a third axis.

It is unclear whether the engine drives the fifth or sixth wheel, or whether it only plays a significant role in the drastic appearance, but it is certain that for the sake of the third axle they reached into the bodywork with serious courage, which is shown by the elongated roofline and the the D column, which is much thicker than usual, also proves it. In contrast to Brabus’ six-wheel pick-up and the new model presented this year by the Chinese Great Wall Motors, this project also radiates incompleteness, as the body element inserted afterwards does not even match the color of the rest of the car.

So a six-wheeled monster is no longer such a novelty, but in this case they hardly aimed for practicality and the perfection of technical details, including that its turning circle is not significantly larger than before, but it is also likely that due to the extra weight, its acceleration already exceeds four seconds. However, he still achieved his goal: the result attracted attention

It is known about the Lamborghini Urus that it is equipped with a 4.0-liter, biturbo, V8 gasoline engine, from which 650 horsepower can be squeezed in the usual four-wheel configuration, which is accompanied by a torque of 850 Nm. The more sporty Urus Performante, introduced nearly five years later, already has 666 horsepower under its hood. Its power is transmitted to the two axles by an eight-speed automatic transmission.
