AUTONEWS

A rare McLaren 765LT Spider has been reduced to ashes

The fire department of the city of Courtland, Michigan, USA, posted on its social media accounts a McLaren 765LT Spider engulfed in flames, and firefighters trying to put it out.

As can be seen from the photos, the British supercar suffered serious damage, mainly at the rear, where the fire seems to have started and where the engine is located.

There are a few things that can be salvaged including the entire front end, doors, windshield, side skirts, front wheels with suspension, brakes and most of the interior.

The 765LT is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 765 horsepower at 7,500 rpm, with torque reaching 800 Nm at 5,500 rpm, but dyno videos have show that its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine produces close to 885-900 horsepower. It weighs 1,339 kg and the drive is sent to the rear axle through an automatic 7-speed gearbox.

For 0-100 km/h it takes 2.8 seconds, for 0-200 km/h 7.2 seconds, with the top speed reaching 330 km/h, while the 400 mile completes it in less than 10 seconds. The car brakes from 100 to 0 km/h in 29.5 meters, while from 200-0 km/h in 108 meters.
