Acura ZDX: 340 or 500 horsepower is the Honda leisure car being produced with the help of GM

Around this time last year, we got to know the Precision EV study, which was a preview of the mass-produced Acura ZDX shown here. The details have been worked out better, the spectacular LED lighting has become less, but in general we get from Honda what they promised. The body is 502 cm long, 196 cm wide and 164 cm high, the wheelbase is 309 cm.

According to the GM-Honda agreement, the leisure car will be built on the technical basis of the Ultium developed by General Motors, which will have both a normal and a sporty Type S version. All-wheel drive with 2 drive motors is optional for the former, and standard for the latter, so the output is 340 or 500 horsepower. In all cases, the battery has a capacity of 102 kWh, which enables a range of 463-523 km. Lightning charging of up to 190 kW is possible, and the car can receive 130 km of energy in 10 minutes at a suitable charging station.

The standard Acura ZDX rolls on 20-inch wheels (2065/20 all-season tires) and uses steel springs, the Type S gets 22-inch wheels (275/40 all-season tires, optional summer tires), air springs and front Brembo brakes (396 mm – disc, 6-piston with yellow-polished saddle). In the case of the Acura ZDX, the Bang&Olufsen hi-fi, working together with the mood lighting, can influence the mood of the occupants according to the selected program. It is unlikely that the Acura ZDX will appear in Europe, since GM has tailored its electric car base specifically for North America, and the Japanese are doing the same with the recreational vehicle that uses it.
