Tesla Model S Plaid unleashed on the German Autobahn. The electric sedan exceeded 320 km/h

The Tesla Model S Plaid with the Track Package was taken to full speed on the Autobahn. The electric sedan breaks the barrier of 320 kilometers per hour.

The Tesla Model S Plaid is one of the most impressive cars you can buy right now. The electric sedan produced by the American company has three electric motors that produce a total power of 1,020 HP. The Model S Plaid is very quick when it comes to the 0-100 sprint, being a car capable of reaching 100 km/h in around 2 seconds.

Tesla also promised a top speed of 320 km/h, but that was not possible until now, not because the car was not capable of reaching the speed, but because it did not have the necessary brakes. This was solved by the Track package, which customers can buy even after the initial purchase of the car. Depending on preference, customers can opt for the full set of ceramic brakes and rims with performance tires or just the ceramic brakes.

Those from AutoTopNL they took one such Tesla Model S Plaid equipped with the Track package and took it to the Autobahn. With these brakes installed, the claimed top speed of 320 km/h is also unlocked.

While the 0-100 acceleration is impressive, it’s not the only downright impressive aspect of this car. Following the tests carried out by AutoTopNL, we find that the car not only accelerates with lightning speed up to 100 km/h, but that it manages to maintain its pace once it has reached this speed. As this video shows, the speed increases at a truly spectacular rate, even as it passes 100 km/h, 200 km/h and 300 km/h.

AutoTopNL recorded a 0-100 km/h time of 2.56 seconds. The car then accelerated from 100 km/h to 200 km/h in just 4.27 seconds, before running the quarter mile in 9.62 seconds. The sprint from 200 km/h to 300 km/h took just 9.38 seconds, and the Model S Plaid topped a GPS-verified 324 km/h. This means that the car was able to accelerate from standstill to 300 km/h in 16.21 seconds on an unprepared surface such as a drag racing track.
