Brad Pitt in Formula 1
American actor Brad Pitt was the star of the paddock this weekend, at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, where filming began on a feature film set in the main discipline of motorsport.
The presence of an 11th garage in the pits was one of the facts that drew attention to the Silverstone circuit. The space was reserved for the fictional Apex team, which is at the center of the plot produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Apple.
Brad Pitt, who drove on the legendary circuit this weekend, was present today on the starting grid of the Grand Prix, alongside British actor Damson Idris, with whom he shares the cast of the production, which should be launched in late 2024 or early 2025 and displayed on the Apple+ platform.
The 59-year-old actor was very satisfied with his stay in England and his contact with Formula 1. "It's really great to be here, we've had a lot of fun. Everyone has been amazing with us, the teams have opened doors for us, the FIA helped us a lot, as did Formula One and Stefano Domenicali," the Hollywood star told Sky Sports F1.
The director of the film is Joseph Kosinski, responsible for the recent success "Top Gun: Maverick". Kosinski and Pitt participated in the pre-race briefing with Formula 1 drivers.
"It was probably the best briefing we've ever had," said British racing driver Lewis Hamilton, co-producer of the film.
