Polestar 4 in new announcement pictures

With a set of new teaser images, Polestar reminds us that on April 18 at the Shanghai Auto Show, it will present another new product, which continues to expand its range. It is the Polestar 4, announced as a rival to the future Porsche Macan EV.

Their first model is the Polestar 1 coupe with plug-in hybrid drive, the second fully electric Polestar 2 liftback built on the CMA platform, while the Polestar 3, an electric sports SUV, was presented six months ago.

Now, therefore, the Polestar 4 is arriving, which, among other things, will have headlights in accordance with the company’s design language. Polestar promises that some of the model’s other styling features will draw inspiration from its concept cars.

“Polestar 4 is not just a modified version of our first SUV. Instead, we rethought the entire design to create a new kind of SUV coupe,” says company CEO (and former Volvo designer) Thomas Ingenlath in a press release.

Unofficial information says that the Polestar 4 is based on the SEA platform, will be smaller than the Polestar 3 and will offer a relatively spacious interior despite its roofline.

Also, rear and four-wheel drive versions are expected, as well as an electric range exceeding 610 km.

The company is already announcing other novelties, so the Polestar 5 with as much as 883 hp will be presented in 2024, as a competitor to the Tesla Model S and the Porsche Taycan.
