MOTO GP

Iveco tractor units are brought to the race track

13 Iveco S-Way  units are brought to the race track

Iveco has announced that it has renewed its partnership with the main organizer of one of the world’s most important motorcycle races, the Moto GP (Dorna Sports), so that the Italian company can be the official supplier of the series for four years. This means that between 2023 and 2026, Iveco brand vehicles will be used to help fulfill the logistical tasks of the competition.

This year, the Italian manufacturer will make available 13 Iveco S-Way tractor units(imaga above) and one Iveco Daily. The vehicles will be involved in the transport of team equipment and tools necessary for the running of the competition series. These must be transported from track to track so that MotoGP races can be held at the appropriate level everywhere. The vehicles receive a special decoration matching the series: the Iveco S-Way tractor units, for example, are equipped with blue and red stripes and a pattern reminiscent of the checkered flag. Thanks to this, they can boast a sporty look that matches the series.

The latest Moto GP season started on Sunday, March 26, in the Algarve, Portugal and is expected to end at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, Spain. This year, the series will focus the attention of those interested in motorsports on the current battles in a total of 18 different countries and 21 different competitions.

Iveco is not only interested in Moto GP fights. The Italian manufacturer supports the FIA ETRC, i.e. the European Truck Championship, year after year. The competitors of the series, including Kiss Norbit, are often driven by an Iveco S-Way tractor unit, which paints a similarly opulent image as its counterparts used in Moto GP.

Iveco is not an unknown figure in the history of Moto GP, as the Stralis Hi-Way tractor has already appeared around the teams’ home. True, they still glowed orange.
