Ford has unveiled the large three-row, seven-seat 2024 Ford Edge L crossover, which is available with a gasoline engine and a hybrid version.
The new Ford Edge L was developed by the same team that developed the Fusion, Mondeo, Equator and Equator Sport.
At the front, the SUV has a large grille that includes some colored LED headlights and different air intakes, depending on the package. The car comes with 20 or 21 inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the LED taillights are linked by a black cover with Edge lettering under the Ford badge.
The new Ford Edge L measures 5,000 x 1,961 x 1,773 mm with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm, which is 100 mm more than the previous model. The car has a three-row arrangement of 2+2+3 seats.
A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster combines with a 27-inch 4K touchscreen that covers most of the instrument cluster. The high-mounted center console has plenty of storage compartments, a wireless cargo pad, and a gearshift lever.
The car gets a projection screen, ambient lighting, reclining second row seats with three different modes, a panoramic roof, three-zone automatic climate control, a B&O audio system and up to 20 different driving assistants.
In the base version, the 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost engine makes 249 hp and 378 Nm of torque. There is also a more powerful hybrid version with 271 hp and 405 Nm of torque, with a fuel consumption of 6.31 l/100 km and a range of 1188 km on the WLTC cycle. Power is transmitted to all four wheels.
The crossover is expected to enter the market in April, and the hybrid version will be available in July.
