Sebastian Vettel is selling his 2012 Nissan GT-R Black Edition with only 150 km
There are two things that Sebastian Vettel will miss in 2023. The first is Formula 1, a category that the German has just abandoned after winning four world titles and having contested no less than 299 Grands Prix over a 15-year career.
But he's also likely missing something else: his 2012 Nissan GT-R Black Edition with just 90 miles on the marker. And we say that because the German pilot has just put it up for sale.
In addition to its very low mileage, this special version of the Nissan GT-R is expected to break a sales record for the Japanese model due to the fact that it was owned by a four-time Formula 1 world champion.
The Black Edition was one of the trims offered by Nissan when the GT-R was released. There weren't any major changes other than its black upholstery, Recaro seats, and black bodywork and wheels.
To give you an idea of the size of the standard supply, it was so complete that the customer could only add one occasional element and that was the Ultimate Silver metallic paint, at an extra cost of 2,000 euros.
The Nissan GT-R Black Edition features the already legendary 3.8-liter V6 biturbo engine with 550 hp and 612 Nm of maximum torque, combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system to transmit all that power to the ground from an effective way.
Another argument for the success of the Japanese model in western markets is that this model had a sales price that defied all competition. The sum of the factors has ensured that the GT-R has been considered a cult vehicle throughout its long career.
In 2012, the GT-R of this special series was priced around 100,000 euros in Europe. Instead, Sebastian Vettel's GT-R now costs 250,000 euros. It remains to be seen what Sebastian Vettel will miss more: Formula 1 or his Nissan GT-R.
