Dacia Jogger dobija hibridnu tehnologiju

French manufacturer has published detailed specifications on the new Jogger Hybrid 140

Dacia has published detailed specifications on the new Jogger Hybrid 140, the first electrified model in the range.

The “most affordable hybrid family car on the market”, as the Romanian carmaker calls it, is equipped with the Renault Group's hybrid powertrain and has a starting price of €24,600 in France.

Visually, the Jogger Hybrid 140 does not differ from the other versions, except for the sticker and the new Schista gray tone as one of the seven color options.

Inside, there is a version-specific 7-inch instrument cluster that displays battery and energy flow information, while the automatic transmission also differs from the rest.

Placing the battery under the floor (occupying the spare wheel/LPG tank space) means it does not affect the cargo area.

The Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140 uses the Renault Group's E-Tech propulsion, which is already used in the hybrid variants of the Renault Clio, Renault Captur and Nissan Juke.

The hybrid system comprises a 1.6-litre 90 hp atmospheric gasoline engine and a pair of electric motors, the first of which has a power of 50 hp and the second is a high-voltage generator-starter. The battery has a capacity of 1.2 kWh and operates at a voltage of 230V.

As with the Clio, a four-speed clutchless automatic transmission is mated to the internal combustion engine, while a separate two-speed transmission is mated to the electric motor.

Dacia has not revealed the combined power, but judging by the hybrid's name, it is likely to deliver 140 hp. The traction is exclusively front.

The Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140 has a range of more than 900 km with a full tank of gasoline. The battery combined with the regenerative braking system enables up to 80% of city driving with full electric drive, improving economy by up to 40% in the city cycle compared to a non-electrified gasoline engine.

The model also features lower CO2 emissions, starting at 108 g/km.

Orders for the Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140 will open in January, with first deliveries expected in March. Although it is much more expensive than the standard drive versions, it will be much cheaper than the Renault Captur E-Tech with the same drive.
