The premium electric vehicle brand Polestar, created in 2017 by Volvo Cars and Geely Holding, introduced its first Polestar 3 five-seater electric crossover. It has a power plant of up to 517 hp. With.

Polestar 3 is built on the SEA1 (Sustainable Experience Architecture) modular platform and has two electric motors, one for each axle. In the basic configuration, the total power of the plant is 489 hp. (acceleration to 100 km/h takes 5 seconds). And the top version has a power of 517 hp, accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. The capacity of the traction battery, regardless of the selected configuration, is 111 kWh, the maximum range is up to 610 km (according to the WLTP measurement methodology).

The Polestar 3 was equipped with a panoramic roof, electric front seats, all-seat heating and an autopilot system with integrated radar, cameras and ultrasonic sensors. Cameras installed in the cabin are able to monitor the driver's eyes, determining the degree of fatigue.

The Polestar 3 will be assembled at two companies - at Geely's Chinese plant in Chengdu and at Volvo's American plant in South Carolina. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2023, prices start at $83,900.
