TESLA

A produção do Tesla Semi finalmente começou - quase 5 anos após o anúncio

Finally, the production of trucks of the brand has started

Tesla boss and founder Elon Musk has finally announced the start of Tesla truck production - judging by the billionaire's Twitter post, car production has already started, and from December 1st, deliveries of new tractors of the line major for PepsiCo will begin. The latter pre-ordered 100 cars in 2017, a month after they were announced.

In August of this year, Musk already said that a version of the truck with a range of 800 km will go on sale before the end of this year and he seems determined to deliver on his promise. Prior to that, the company's boss claimed that deliveries of semi-electric trucks would not start until 2023, and in the second half of August, pre-orders for new items were stopped. At the same time, the truck's specifications were also updated.

Tesla promises that the Semi will be able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 20 seconds even when fully charged and maintain high speed even on steep climbs. In addition, batteries with a range of 500 and 800 km can be charged up to 70% in 30 minutes. According to Musk's tweet, we're now talking about the 800km version, which brings "super fun to drive".

Until 2022, there was not much information about Semi trucks. Finally, in May of this year, Tesla began to “reserve” models with a deposit of US$ 20,000, and in August information emerged about the start of deliveries of the 800 km version this year. In the same month, pre-orders were no longer accepted.

It's worth noting that the company doesn't strictly observe its own “deadlines” – the Cybertruck's launch has been delayed several times, and now it's promised to start sales in 2023. The same applies to other models. Also, Tesla's full autopilot, which Elon Musk has been promising to implement soon for years, also only exists in a "stripped-down" beta. Tesla has also promised that the Semi trucks will receive at least partial autopilot, although there is no information about this on the truck's page.

It was previously reported that the Semi will cost US$ 180,000, but now there is no information on the company's website - it is possible that inflation has made its own price adjustments. Additionally, Tesla reports that over 3 years of operation, the truck will save up to $200,000.
