911 964 Wide Body Cabriolet Everrati: for the purists' sorrow
Restomod models are a fashion criticized by many, who label it as sacrilege, but it allows giving new life to icons and reinterpreting them in a modern way, on many occasions even transforming them into zero-emission vehicles. That's precisely what Everrati did with the first electric Porsche 911 964 Wide Body Cabriolet.
The company claims to have been extremely careful when it comes to preserving the sensations that the Porsche conveyed in its original state, a task that seems complicated both by its electrical nature and by the fact that the increase in power is remarkable.
Everrati offers a propulsion system with two levels, an access level with 446 hp and a superior one that reaches 506 hp. Only the performance of the second was revealed, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds. In addition, equipped with a battery of 62 kWh capacity, it is capable of traveling up to 320 kilometers.
We believe that the less powerful version will also use the same battery and that, as it has less power, its range of action will be higher, but these data were not specified.
Other improvements that have been applied are the optimization of weight distribution between both axles, chassis response and safety. Optionally, buyers will also be able to install a fully adjustable TracTive suspension.
Justin Lunny, Founder and CEO of Everrati, said: “We are pleased to expand our product offering with a world first in the form of our Porsche 911 964 Wide Body Cabriolet. Everrati is proud to enhance the original feel and character of the iconic cars, and the pure convertible driving experience of the 964 Cabriolet, now combined with state-of-the-art electric power, means our customers can enjoy the thrill of a convertible in truly sustainable 21st century style.”
He continues: "Currently, the options available to buyers in the convertible electric vehicle market are extremely limited, and we are proud to have created a cutting-edge convertible electric vehicle that goes beyond what the major manufacturers offer."
For now, the price of the Porsche 911 964 Wide Body Cabriolet EV has not been revealed.
