New generation of Versa is revealed in the USA
Nissan has just revealed in the United States the first images of the Nissan Versa 2023, the mid-life cycle update of the current generation that will soon also be at the brand's dealerships here in Brazil. The aesthetic changes are clearly noticeable from the outside, although inside there are no new shapes. Everything indicates that there will also be some changes in the equipment for the search for the top in its segment.
The Japanese brand announces that it will show each of its details during the 2022 Miami Motor Show that will be held between the 15th and 23rd of October. However, in the meantime reveal a photo gallery of this new model.
Firstly, the front reveals a reinterpretation of the famous V-Motion grille which, thanks to side stripes, chrome inserts, more blacked-out details and a slight retouching of the headlight shapes, give the car a more modern look.
Its sides remain the same as what we already knew in the current model, although of course, it has a new series of wheel designs. On the rear there are really no major changes, apart from the brand new emblem.
Inside there are no changes in the design, it keeps keeping the same shapes. What Nissan does, at least for the American model, is that all versions, especially the most basic, will have more equipment. Like the arrival of an 8.0-inch touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the addition of an induction charger for smartphones, as well as some security functions that were previously reserved only for the most complete versions. Some additions include compatibility with Nissan Connected Services, the ability to offer WiFi to multiple devices, among other things.
Elements that already existed in the current generation continue, such as automatic air conditioning, USB ports, Bluetooth connection, electric mirror adjustment and electric controls for the windows. Safety elements such as autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitor, tire pressure monitor, 360º vision, among others.
Mechanically, there will be no changes. It follows the same naturally aspirated 4-cylinder 1.6-liter engine, capable of producing 120 hp and 150 Nm of torque. Keeping the 5-speed manual transmission and CVT that send power to the front axle.
In the next few days, Nissan will reveal all the information regarding this model, as well as its prices for the United States. As mentioned at the beginning, soon it will also be in the brand's dealerships here in Brazil.
