Vivaro GS: the sporty version for the UK market

In the UK, car culture is very different from the rest of Europe. Among the British we can find authentic motorsport enthusiasts who invest large sums of money in their vehicles, whatever they may be. For that reason, it's not surprising that manufacturers come up with interesting sporty finishes for vans like this Vauxhall Vivaro GS.

In fact, Ford has been doing this for many years. Now Vauxhall joins this trend with its GS finish. This version is available both for the Vivaro with diesel engine and for the electric Vivaro. It includes styling improvements to the bodywork, unique interior features and a unique diesel engine with more power.

On the outside, the Vivaro GS includes a front splitter, side skirts, a redesigned rear bumper and a sleek roof-mounted spoiler, looking more like a prep than a factory model. Especially with the new set of 18-inch alloy wheels with a black finish. For now it is only offered for Panel Van and Double Cab.

Inside is a new pair of seats with handcrafted upholstery of wear-resistant perforated eco-leather. Features red contrast stitching and an embroidered GS logo. The icing on the cake is the improvement of the diesel engine. The most powerful version of the 2.0-litre Turbo D block produces up to 180 hp in the GS.

This represents an increase of 35 hp over the standard version. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. As for the Vivaro Electric GS, it retains the standard electric motor. It generates 136 hp (100 kW) of power and 260 Nm of torque. The battery is 75 kWh for 304 km of electric range.
