The special FTtribute series for the Ghibli and Levante in honor of Maria Teresa De Filippis
Maserati has just presented its first electric vehicle, the GranTurismo Folgore, but the Italian brand's news doesn't stop there, as it also showed the special FTributo series for the Ghibli and Levante.
This limited edition pays homage to Maria Teresa De Filippis, the first woman to qualify for a Formula 1 Grand Prix. She accomplished it in the helm of a Maserati 250 F.
Both the sedan and the SUV can be chosen in Arancio Devil orange or Grigio Lamiera grey. Interestingly, the exterior paint dictates the finish. Thus, the orange combines with the cobalt blue, which Maserati includes in the wheel details, the FTributo insignia and the trident of the C-pillar. These elements are painted orange in the cars with the gray exterior.
The Levante FTributo will arrive with 21-inch Anteo wheels, while the Ghibli will receive the Titano, with the same diameter. The orange models receive wheels finished in the new Grigio Opaque color, while the gray models' wheels are in Gloss Black.
Inside, Maserati includes cobalt blue trim and orange stitching. The brand completes this color combination with black and orange leather.
The improvement in FTribute is purely visual: Maserati does not report any changes to the vehicles' propulsion system. The Ghibli is available with a 580 hp 3.8 V8 biturbo engine in the Trofeo or with a 3.0 V6, also with twin turbos that produces 349 or 430 hp, in the lower trims. The Maserati Levante offers the V8 engine, with 530 or 580 hp - in the Trofeo - and the V6 with 430 hp.
Before becoming the first woman to compete in Formula 1, De Filippis, who has earned the nickname 'The Devil', took ninth overall and fourth in the 2.0-litre category at the 39th Targa Florio in October. 1955. Piloted a Maserati A6GCS together with Luigi Bellucci.
We do not know how many copies this edition is limited to. Maserati also did not say when they will be marketed or the prices of each vehicle. For the standard Ghibli V6 you will have to pay 134,300 euros and for the V8, 166,700. For its part, the Levante V6 costs 141,600 euros, while the V8 rises to 191,100.
