LEXUS UX 300e 2023: BATERIA MAIOR E 40% A MAIS DE AUTONOMIA

UX 300e 2023: arrives with some important changes and more autonomy

Launched in late 2019, the Lexus UX 300e was the Japanese brand's first electric model. After the combustion versions received a slight update in the first half, now comes the turn of the electric SUV, whose 2023 version will be available from the second quarter of 2023.

The restyling of the Lexus UX 300e benefits from the aesthetic changes and increased structural rigidity announced in the rest of the versions, thanks to 20 new weld points on the sides and rear doors of the vehicle, but in the case of this zero emissions, there are other important modifications.

It turns out that the battery of this Lexus, previously 54.4 kWh, was replaced by another with a greater capacity, specifically 72.8 kWh, a figure that increases the autonomy of the electric model by 40%, according to the brand.

This means that the UX 300e can now run up to 450 kilometers, which is the number of autonomy homologated in the WLTP cycle, much higher than the 315 kilometers WLTP announced by the model before this restyling.

The electric motor, located on the front axle, maintains the power of its predecessor, 150 kW or 204 hp, as well as an instantaneous maximum torque of 300 Nm. Figures well contained to move a vehicle that weighs around 1,900 kilos.

The UX 300e also now incorporates a new adjustment for the electric assistance steering, a new adjustment for the dampers and a component called Yamaha Performance Damper for the rear axle, which basically is a damper for the chassis that reduces vibrations.

For its part, the cabin debuts the new multimedia system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, with higher resolution and improved graphics, as well as two USB-C ports and an induction charger for larger smartphones.

Finally, LED ambient lighting has also been added, the cabin's acoustic insulation has been improved and the location of the buttons for the heated seats has been changed, which are now located on the center console to the right of the gear selector, for example.
