Brand launches exclusive KTM RC 8C racing motorcycle
KTM has released 200 more examples of the exclusive KTM RC 8C racing motorcycle. As a reminder, the initial 100 units were released last year.
While this may cause some dissatisfaction among those who bought the previous version for $38,999, the addition of another 200 units gives you a second chance to own a bike that sold out within minutes.
At first glance, there isn't much that differentiates the new RC 8C series from the 2021 edition.
In addition to the black finish that replaces the orange, the RC 8C still has a carbon fiber, fiberglass and Kevlar bodywork – like the KTM RC16 MotoGP.
Also from the original version is a handmade frame, the work of Kramer Motorcycles.
However, the new RC 8C has a revised 889cc LC8c unit, which now produces 135hp (7hp more). This was achieved with the help of new titanium intake and exhaust valves, titanium connecting rods and an increased compression ratio.
Plus, thanks to the new Akrapovič titanium racing exhaust, the new KTM RC 8C weighs just 142 kg. Similar to the original RC 8C edition, the new bike allows for a lot of fine-tuning and fine-tuning of the engine and handling.
Additionally, the new AiM MXS 1.2 Race panel gives you access to multiple tuning options(image above).
Braking is handled by top-of-the-line Brembo Stylema 4-piston radial calipers that are regulated via a Brembo 19RCS Corsa Corta master cylinder.
The RC 8C features a revised WP Apex Pro suspension that the company claims improves rider confidence on the track.
Other notable features include Dymags alloy wheels with Pirelli Diablo SC1 tires and a GP quickshifter.
According to KTM, the new RC 8C series will go on sale on the Austrian company's official website at a retail price of €39,400.
