FERRARI

Ferrari colocou em teste um protótipo de carro esportivo Ferrari Roma com uma unidade V12

Ferrari Roma is spotted testing with an unprecedented V12 unit

Rumor has it that the new product is a continuation of the 812 Superfast (GTS and Competizione), whose sale has now ended. The new front-engine car is expected to receive some degree of hybridization from the developers and switch to a scalable architecture pioneered by Roma.

This explains why Ferrari decided to massage some body panels and attach them to a new, longer and wider chassis that will serve as the basis for the next new car, codenamed F167. The new car's engine can be heard in both photos and video, although YouTuber Varryx claims it uses a silencer to drown out the sound of the V12 and confuse photographic spies.

The new car is expected to use a 6.5-liter V12 engine, the same as the Purosangue. It will be tuned for more power than the 715hp crossover. and will acquire exactly the same amount of energy as half the number of cylinders.

At this point, it's still unclear whether this new model will have a full hybrid powertrain like the 296 GTB and SF90, or if it will just have a mild hybrid powertrain, say with an electric compressor, to help boost engine power.

Photo spies expect the novelty to begin testing with a pre-production body in 2023.
