CADILLAC CELESTIQ 2023: ESTE É O MODELO DE PRODUÇÃO DO CARRO-CHEFE ELÉTRICO DA MARCA

Celestiq Concept...Last July, Cadillac unveiled a prototype that advanced its future electric flagship, the so-called Cadillac Celestiq Concept. Now, the American brand has revealed the first information and images of the production version of the model.

Now we know, for example, that it will go into production in December 2023, in a little over a year, and that each copy will be made to measure for each customer, to order. Celestiq pricing will start above $300,000 and will depend on individual owner requests.

The definitive future Cadillac Celestiq will be based on General Motors' new Ultium platform, which as we know, was developed for all-electric vehicles. In this case, it is estimated a power greater than 600 hp, a maximum torque of around 870 Nm and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4.0 seconds.

Thanks to a huge battery capacity of 111 kWh, the gigantic American sedan offers around 500 kilometers of estimated range. In addition, the electrical system will allow ultra-fast charging at a maximum of 200 kW (DC), which will mean recovering around 126 kilometers of autonomy in just 10 minutes.

In principle, traveling in the Celestiq should be a really relaxing experience, to which the adaptive Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 suspension, the Active Roll Control system and the directional rear axle will also contribute, for example.

Customers will be able to choose their car with 23-inch diameter forged aluminum wheels shod with model-specific Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires. Nor will it lack the Ultra Cruise system for semi-autonomous driving and remote automatic parking assistance.

The production version of the Celestiq differs little in terms of aesthetics from the previous prototype, with its long hood, stylized roofline and curious rear end. In the side view, for example, there are no handles on the doors, as the model has buttons to open and close them.

In the cabin, the gigantic 55-inch screen that dominates the dashboard stands out, actually formed by two independent displays under the same glass cover, which is accompanied by another 11-inch screen for climate control. And speaking of glass, the panoramic roof offers four zones whose opacity can be modified to suit each occupant.

And if that wasn't enough, the rear occupants also have two individual 12.6-inch screens and a small 8.0-inch display to control the climate, the position of the seats, in addition to being able to open and close the doors, for example.

The model will be manufactured at the General Motors Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan, and no more than six copies at the same time, since as mentioned before, it will be truly exclusive and will be produced almost by hand and under the specifications chosen by each customer.
