Company released first teaser of KIA Sportage X-Pro 2023 the women's off-road competition Rebelle Rally

A month before the start of the Rebelle Rally, the women's off-road competition that is celebrated in the states of Nevada and California, in the United States, KIA has released a first teaser of its new competition car for this event, the so-called KIA Sportage X. -Pro 2023.

This race with more than 2,500 kilometers crosses all kinds of desert terrains of the western United States, and, in addition, participation is reserved for women only.

One of the particularities of this off-road event is that it does not allow the use of GPS navigators or mobile phones, since navigation is done in the most classic way, using a roadbook, maps and a compass, among other things.

While still a digital recreation, this KIA Sportage X-Pro is an anticipation of the 2023 Sportage-based competition model, which sports the brand's new grey, black and white livery.

The standard X-Pro already incorporates some off-road elements, such as BF Goodrich all-terrain tires, matte black 17-inch wheels, auxiliary LED lights and all-wheel drive, but even so, KIA made minor modifications to make the Korean crossover even more capable in the demanding test terrain.

Judging by the only available image, it looks like the model will feature specific wheels and tires, and it also appears to have increased ground clearance and a new roof rack.

The official debut of the Sportage X-Pro will take place in the coming weeks, before the start of the Rebelle Rally, whose kick-off will be on October 6, 2022. The race will end on October 16 at the Imperial Sand Dunes, in Southern California. 

KIA already participated in the event last year with two modified KIA Sorento PHEVs, but this year it will face rivals such as the interesting Hyundai Santa Cruz and Nissan Frontier, among others.
