DS 3: French compact crossover is renewed

The compact crossover lost the Crossback accessory during the last update and also received a slightly retouched design, with the front of the car getting the most noticeable changes. So the updated DS3 experienced a new front bumper, a chrome frameless adult grille, redesigned LED DRLs, and head optics with a new padding.

Also, for an additional cost, the buyer can choose matrix headlights. The taillights have been given a different contour, and on the stern the inscription “DS Automobiles” now bears. Also, for the updated compact cross, the automaker supplied other hoops. At the same time, the dimension was preserved: 17 or 18 inches.

The palette of available shades has been replenished with the bright color Diva Red. Inside the car there is a new steering wheel, which received more control buttons, modern multimedia with a larger screen and a full camera with higher resolution. In addition, you can decorate the interior according to new color schemes and material catalogs. The more expensive DS3 has seats upholstered in Nappa leather.

There were fewer engines and no new ones were added. The base is considered a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder turbo engine from the PureTech family.

In conjunction with a manual transmission, it demonstrates a return of 100 hp, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission - 130 hp. Diesel car fans are offered a 1.5-liter BlueHDi diesel with 130 horsepower. Such an engine is combined only with an automatic transmission. The all-electric DS 3 E-Tense received a 156 horsepower electric motor instead of a 136 horsepower one.

The new battery produces 54 kWh instead of the previous 50 kWh. As a result, the electric car on a single charge is capable of overcoming 402 kilometers. The previous number is 340 km. And with the updated electric crossover comes an 11 kW AC charger. The DC charging power itself is 100 kW. The novelty has already reached car dealerships. The cheapest will cost a gasoline crossover - 30,100 euros. For an electric car, you will have to pay a minimum of 41,700 euros.
