Mitsubishi fala sobre crossover híbrido Outlander 2023

Fourth-gen Outlander hits the market in 2023

It is already known that the fourth-generation Mitsubishi Outlander crossover will receive radical changes. All available versions of the model, including the plug-in hybrid version, have undergone a revamp. Mitsubishi will begin selling the Outlander PHEV in select markets this November, and when it arrives, it will retail for $39,845.

The Outlander PHEV achieved an all-electric range of 87 kilometers, a figure Mitsubishi achieved in a smooth European test cycle.

In addition, the crossover version for some markets will only be able to run 61 km on batteries. The automaker claims the crossover can travel up to 674 km on a single tank of fuel and a fully charged battery.

The Outlander PHEV is equipped with a 2.4-liter Atkinson four-cylinder gasoline engine and two electric motors. The total power is 248 horsepower (450 Nm). The previous Outlander PHEV had 221 hp. The new crossover is equipped with a 350-volt lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 20 kilowatt-hours, whose autonomy is increased by 40% over the previous model. DC fast charging can fill an SUV up to 80% in about 38 minutes.

The SUV also comes with a larger 14.8-gallon fuel tank and Mitsubishi Super All-Wheel Control. The engine and an electric motor drive the front wheels, while the electric motor alone drives the rear wheels. The Outlander PHEV will also feature Mitsubishi's active yaw control.
