British company introduced its P7-B electrified truck to solve urban transport task

British company Ree Auto presented its P7-B truck, which can be used to solve transport tasks within the city. As long as the carrier is satisfied with a total weight of 6.35 tonnes (this is due to US regulations) with a load capacity of only 2 tonnes, which is approximately half of what a similar commercial vehicle with a diesel engine can do.

The battery is built between the axles, the long wheelbase is compensated with the four-wheel steering, so the turning circle diameter is 12 meters. Drive motors are installed on both axles, system torque is 545 Nm, battery capacity not disclosed, but standard range with maximum battery size is 241 km – customer can also order a battery smaller. 

The prototype has a body with a cargo space of 23 cubic meters, the loading rim is only 58 cm. By the way, Ree Auto only offers the P7 chassis, the superstructure (and its manufacturer) is chosen by the customer, so the price of the finished vehicle also varies from order to order.
