Kimera EVO37: the Italian super sports car inspired by Ennio Morricone's compositions

The Kimera EVO37 is a model inspired by the Lancia Rally 037, whose name already indicates: it is a limited edition of 37 copies. We saw the first one with a green decor in the Alps, in St. Moritz, and its owner named it 'Esmeralda'. Now comes the 'Edda', also unique for its exceptional body color and the name chosen by its owner.

For Kimera Automobili, the company specializing in artisanal sports cars, based in the Italian region of Cuneo, this 'American' model is very important, as it opens the door to the North American market and will participate in the famous Monterey Car Week, scene of the Pebble Beach's prestigious Concours d'Elegance, an exceptional showcase for any luxury car manufacturer.

The Kimera EVO37 is about to make an impressive journey. The week's program includes several events, including 'The Quail, a Motorsport Gathering', where the EVO37 in blue/gold/carbon version will be displayed on Friday, August 19, at the O'Gara Coach booth, one of the California's leading sports and luxury car specialists.

Another stop on the Laguna Seca circuit has also been organized, but the culmination will, of course, be the Contest of Elegance on the world's most important turf at Pebble Beach, scheduled for Sunday, August 21st.

The name of the owner of this Kimera EVO37 is confidential, but the company describes him like this: he is a “well-known collector and driver”, “works as an entrepreneur in the automotive sector” and “chose the name 'Edda' for his passion for Ennio's compositions. Morricone, usually performed by soprano Edda Dell'Orso”.

The car is blue, a tribute to the color that saw so many American cars race around the world, but also a tribute to the blue ocean that washes California.

We already know about the next copy. We will meet at the end of August and it will be delivered to St.Moritz, where the 'Esmeralda' was sold. We also know that it is called 'Victoria' and that it was acquired by a Swiss collector, choosing a satin red body color.

Kimera Automobili is getting closer to its goal, because it is true that these EVO37s that we are talking about are only three, but in total more than 30 of the 37 have already been sold - most of them were in the hands of private collectors.
