KOENIGSEGG

Company makes a limited series of its first production car, the 2002 CC8S

The car is spiced up with modern technology, but the transmission is still manual. The first production car from Koenigsegg CC8S turns 20 at the same time as the man behind the company – Christian von Koenigsegg turns 50. This is celebrated with the construction of 50 examples of the CC8S, but with more modern technology taken from Jesko and Regera under the skin. An example of this is carbon fiber brakes.

The car is called Koenigsegg CC850 and it has 1,385 horsepower (with E85), gives 1,385 Neton meters of torque and weighs 1,385 kilograms. It's basically the same V8 as the Jesko, but with a slightly smaller twin turbo. The motor spins to 8500 rpm.

Koenigsegg makes a great deal that the car has a 6-speed manual gearbox where the gear ratio can be changed depending on whether you're driving on the track or on the Autobahn. It's not a true manual gearbox, but a 9-speed automatic gearbox that can be driven in automatic mode. The company claims the CC850 is the fastest manual transmission production car in the world.
