PININFARINA
Pininfarina Battista: inside the exclusive Italian supercar
It has become a magic number for the most exclusive manufacturers on the market. A volume of 150 units maintains the exclusivity of a particular model whose price is above 2 million euros. This is the case with the Pininfarina Battista, a unique creation with which the prestigious Italian design studio pays tribute to its founder, and from which only this amount of the electric hypercar will be manufactured.
However, there is an even more exclusive option, the Battista Aniversario, of which only 5 units will be manufactured. Thus, taking advantage of the fact that the car has already entered production, the company revealed some of the secret details that surrounded its development, such as the hours required for its production, no less than 1,250 hours on the Battista and 1,340 hours on the second.
And since we already know that customization is fundamental and that it meets the whims of customers, they are obliged to spend a few hours at Pininfarina's headquarters in Cambiano, Italy, since the catalog of options includes no less than 128 million combinations just for the interior, say those responsible.
Abroad, much less. The carbon fiber body is offered in 28 possible colors, although the manufacturer has pointed out that it takes three to four weeks to achieve a perfect finish. Up to ten weeks are devoted to the interior and assembly of the transmission and propulsion train, a period that extends to 18 weeks in the case of the special edition Battista Aniversario.
The Pininfarina Battista is a hypercar as exclusive as the Rimac Nevera. Interestingly, Croatian has also just entered production (here), and the truth is that Italian is based on it. They share the same electric powertrain with four motors, one for each wheel, and generating a total maximum power of 1,914 hp. The 120 kWh battery capacity powers the system for brutal performance. Now, the big question is which of the two, Battista or Nevera, will be the true object of desire of wealthy customers.
