Corsa A makes 40 launch and Opel launches special edition of the current model
The original Corsa A was introduced in 1982 and, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of that event, Opel launches a special edition of the current model with retro details. The subcompact hatchback comes in the Rekord red color that has been used for four decades.
The roof is in a contrasting black color, and the "floating" effect is achieved by the dark A and B pillars, as well as the upper part of the rear pillar.
The Opel Corsa 40 Years is mounted on 17-inch gloss black aluminum wheels with matt elements. The front panel, exterior mirrors and roof bars are black. The car's front and rear markings, as well as the element that opens the tailgate, are darkened.
This Corsa is loaded with equipment as standard, from automatic LED lights and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity to safety systems like Forward Collision Warning with Auto Braking and Pedestrian Detection.
The Opel Corsa has sold more than 14 million units in the last 40 years, and last month the electric Corsa-e was the best-selling electric car in Germany. The sixth generation of this hatchback is currently on the market.
