Maserati Project24: the competition version of the MC20 coupe
Dedicated to those who are not satisfied with just experiencing the power and agility of a supercar like the MC20 on the road, comes the Maserati Project24. It's the new Italian track-specific monster with which you'll be able to enjoy the curves of the best circuits in the world.
The new Maserati Project24 is the first competition version of the MC20 coupe, it is not homologated for road use and only 62 examples will be produced.
The biggest evolution affects the materials used, the aerodynamics and the engine, with the V6 Nettuno block that, thanks to the new turbos, reaches a remarkable power of 740 hp, compared to the 630 hp of the conventional MC20.
Also new are the suspensions, the carboceramic brake system for competition and signed by Brembo, and the tires designed for the circuits, as well as the safety equipment approved by the FIA.
The stated aim of the Maserati Project24 is to achieve a weight of less than 1,250 kg, well below the already contained 1,500 kg of the MC20. In fact, the weight/power ratio is around 1.69 kg/hp.
The Maserati Project24, of which only a few digital renders have been revealed so far, continues to use rear propulsion, but with a 6-speed racing sequential transmission and a completely new carbon fiber body.
Project24 also includes Lexan front and side windows, race seats, adjustable dampers, 18-inch wheels and slick-style tires.
Among the optional elements are the co-driver's seat, the rear camera, the telemetry system, the on-board camera for video recording and tire pressure control.
The 62 fortunate customers of the Maserati Project24 will not only have an authentic limited-edition collector's piece in their garage, but will also enjoy an exclusive package of services that includes on-track experiences with the direct support of Maserati.
