TOYOTA GR YARIS BY SENNER: UM POUCO DE PIMENTA PARA O PEQUENO ESPORTIVO JAPONÊS

GR YARIS BY SENNER

The Toyota GR Yaris is without a doubt one of the hottest and most interesting small sports cars to come out in recent years. With four-wheel drive and 261 horsepower in a body of only 4 meters, the spicy Japanese utility advertises performance and behavior very close to those of a rally car.

However, the GR Yaris seems to have a lot of untapped potential. Proof of this is the preparation of the German specialist Senner, who claims to have achieved an impressive 351 hp.

Present in the tuning world for over 30 years, the tuner developed a special kit for the engine and bodywork of the GR Yaris. Starting with the mechanics, the 1.6-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder block received important changes in the ECU mapping, the cooling system and the exhaust.

Now, thanks in part to Milltek's carbon exhaust pipes, the Toyota registers 351 hp and 435 Nm of torque, compared to the 261 hp and 360 Nm of the series car. Not bad.

Senner has not released any specific performance information, but we believe that the High Performance kit has made it possible to further improve the original figures, which indicate an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 230 km/h.

In addition to the great power, Senner offers a series of aesthetic and equipment modifications. Specifically, the trainer installed Kiwami Work alloy wheels from Japan and shod with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 semi-slick tires with dimensions 245/35 R18.

Despite the tires being 5 centimeters wider than the standard ones, Senner claims that this solution has reduced the weight of each wheel to just 19 kg, which means a direct benefit to the driving experience.

Speaking of adjustments, the specialist also equipped a KW Variant 3 adjustable suspension (manually), whose response can be shaped according to the road you are driving to achieve a stiffer or softer GR Yaris.
