MERCEDES-BENZ 250 GD WOLF BY EMC: ESTE GENIAL RESTOMOD É UM G CLASS DE 1991

MB 250 GD WOLF BY EMC: with legendary OM 602 engine and wireless Apple CarPlay multimedia display

An increasing number of companies are entering the world of restomod, restoring classic models and adding modern technology, but the project that appears in the images and video is not from a new company, but from one of the pioneers of this type of creations. in the United States.

We are talking about the company Expedition Motor Company, which presents a product called 250 GD Wolf 2022 and which, as we can see, is based on an iconic Mercedes-Benz G Class convertible from the year 1991. The bad thing is that it is not cheap, since its price starts from 160,000 dollars.

Aesthetically, EMC's G Class receives a Gulf Blue body color, combined with black accents such as the wheels, wheel arches, bumpers and bars installed over the rear bucket.

Of course, the interior has also been updated, thanks, for example, to a Praline vinyl upholstery and amenities such as air conditioning, a small multimedia screen for the console (wireless Apple CarPlay compatible) and front and rear seats heated.

Under the hood we find the German manufacturer's indestructible OM 602 engine, a 2.5-liter, in-line 5-cylinder diesel engine, which offered 94 hp as standard in the 250 GD after 1989.

The main novelty is that, now, in addition to being able to be combined as standard with a 5-speed manual transmission, the engine is optionally offered with an automatic transmission inherited from the S Class, also five-speed.

The specialist also completely overhauled the suspension, axles and braking system, installing improved shock absorbers and springs, and according to EMC the model is now more comfortable. Locks for the front and rear differentials are also included as standard.

The Expedition Motor Company claims that it took them around 1,400 hours of work to complete this project, as they had to start by completely disassembling the car.
