Devel Sixteen hyper sports car designed in Dubai comes with V8 engine and not as advertised V16

The Devel Sixteen is a hyper sports car designed in Dubai and unveiled in 2017, which has been threatening to hit the market for a few years now, and which now finally looks like it's ready, at least the first example for a customer.

The latest Supercar Blondie video shows precisely this first unit of the Devel Sixteen, although there is a small problem: it equips an 8-cylinder engine, not the 16 with which the vehicle was conceived.

Apparently, the customer of this first unit of the car did not want the V16 engine, so he asked the company to equip his car with a V8 block, or at least this is the information provided by the company.

This Devel Sixteen also doesn't have the 5,069 hp originally announced in 2017, but the truth is that the new custom-built V8 biturbo engine promises around 2,000 hp, which isn't bad either.

Most surprising of all is that the car weighs around 2,300 kg, according to the company, a figure that seems completely exorbitant for a hypersport of its class, and with 8 cylinders less than initially planned.

In principle, later examples of the Devel Sixteen will live up to its name and will equip the promised V16 engine, although it is likely that they will settle for around 3,000 horsepower, which remains a rather absurd figure.

For now, the car is in its final stages of development, but at least we can already see it and hear the roar of its engine in the video, recorded at the Dubai circuit, the 'Dubai Autodrome'.
