Another teaser of the new BMW M4 GT4 released

Recently, a teaser of a special racing car, the successor to the model version with the F82 index, was presented. The image reveals little, but even in the shadow the car looks menacing. Through the rear window, you can see what appears to be a roll cage and trunk spoiler.

The M4 GT4 sits perfectly between the M2 CS Racing and the M4 GT3 in the BMW M4 lineup. BMW Motorsport has announced that the debut of its novelty will take place on June 17. Deliveries of the racetrack-designed car will begin before the end of the year. The GT4 will have a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder M4 engine, and while racing rules may stipulate that it produces less power than the race road model, it will be a much lighter machine.

BMW also stated that the GT4 would use the conventional powertrain of the M4, but borrow the roof and rear wing design from the more powerful GT3 derivative. Performance and technical details are yet to be revealed, but we are confident that the engine will be capable of delivering 431 hp in total.

BMW plans to showcase the new M4 GT4 at the 2022 SRO Americas Championship. “The car will be unveiled over the weekend and a full technical briefing is scheduled,” said BMW Motorsport's Dan Lubin.
