Harley-Davidson Serial 1: It's an electrified bike for extreme sports with a limited run
Bash/Mtn is their first electric mountain bike (eMTB). This premium off-road model will be produced in a limited edition of just 1,050 pieces. The price of the novelty is US$ 3,999.
Bash/Mtn received a frame similar to the Mosh/Cty model, which is called the “urban bike”. Additionally, the new premium model retains many of the Mosh/Cty's features, including the Gates Carbon Drive belt, Brose S Mag mid-drive motor, TRP hydraulic disc brakes, internally routed cables and wires, and integrated LED lighting.
However, unlike the Mosh/Cty, it has studded Michelin E-Wild tires and a spine-friendly SR Suntour NCX seatpost. Also distinguishing the Bash/Mtn from other Serial 1 models is the Yucca Tan paint with special Gloss Graffiti graphics.
Also, thanks to a new deal with Google, the Serial 1 app will display all travel data and other metrics to users.
The removable 529 Wh battery offers a range of 48 to 153 km on a single charge, depending on the riding mode. This is a throttleless class 1 electric bike that allows speeds of up to 20 miles per hour (32 km/h). The Serial 1 didn't list a power rating, but with 90Nm of torque, it will let you climb steep hills effortlessly.
In total, the company will produce 1,050 Bash/Mtn units: 525 units for the American market and 525 for Europe.
