SUBARU OUTBACK 2023: LEVES MUDANÇAS PARA CONTINUAR SENDO ÚNICO

Outback 2023: famous Japanese crossover gets a facelift

Although its current generation has been on the market since 2021, Subaru surprised with the renewal of one of its most popular models, the Subaru Outback. A model that is now being presented at the New York Motor Show with its MY 2023 version, with slight changes both in terms of aesthetics and technology to continue being the reference in its class.

The first thing that catches the eye in this facelift of the famous crossover is its redesigned front part that includes a new larger grille accompanied by new headlights. However, the element that most transforms the aesthetics of the new Outback are the two vertically shaped black plastic elements under the headlights that look like side air intakes - although in these images they appear closed, but which above all give a much more aggressive appearance. forward.

For the rest, we continue to have the usual SUV-like elements, such as its skirts with protections on the lower parts, here in completely black, marked fenders also in black, and a rear where, although there are not so many changes, we also continue to have a marked rear bumper and roof bars.

Where there are also changes is in the technological part of the interior of this Outback, where the latest version of the Starlink infotainment system appears, which can be accessed through an 11.6-inch vertical-format touchscreen, and which includes geolocation technology that allows locating precisely the car even in areas far from civilization with just three words.

There are also novelties in terms of safety, as the device now has a new wide-angle camera and a dual camera for the EyeSight system that allows it to detect pedestrians and cyclists. Also available is a new automatic emergency steering system along with blind spot detection, lane change assistant, rear cross traffic alert and an automatic braking system, which together with EyeSight allows you to avoid accidents at less than 80 km/h.

At a mechanical level, we continue to rely on the famous 2.5-liter boxer engine that remains in this restyling without changes, with 169 hp of power and a torque of 252 Nm, although there is also a turbocharged version with 260 hp and 375 Nm, both coupled to the familiar CVT transmission with an 8-speed manual mode and, of course, Subaru's famous permanent all-wheel drive.

For now, Subaru has not announced prices or release date for this Subaru Outback 2023, which in all probability will start selling in the United States, the main market for this model, before reaching other markets.
