Now, Special Vehicle Engineering (SVE) has decided to take this Colorado ZR2 a step further, through a series of modifications that allow it to increase the power of the V6 block and, above all, improve the model's off-road capabilities.

For starters, SVE dispensed with the 3.6 V6 block, to install an engine 2.4 times more powerful, in fact a huge 5.3 liter V8 supercharged by compressor, which logically offers a much higher performance.

The maximum power of the ZR2 is now 761 hp, with a maximum torque of 814 Nm, which puts it on par with one of the wildest pick-ups on the North American market, the RAM 1500 TRX, which, remembering, hides under from the hood a 6.2 V8 engine with 712 hp and 881 Nm.

In addition to the gigantic 8-cylinder engine, SVE has also installed an 8-speed heavy duty automatic transmission and reinforced elements such as the transfer case to the transmission shafts.

Nor does it lack a brake system with 345 millimeter front discs, along with six-piston calipers, and a bespoke 'cat-back' exhaust system, made of stainless steel and with dual outlets, which can be polished or satin black.

To gain off-road skills, the Xtreme Off-Road, as the preparation is called, includes a suspension raised by 10 centimeters, reinforced components and 18-inch wheels, shod with Nitto Recon Grappler all-terrain tires.

On the exterior, SVE proposes changes such as black elements for the body, flared wheel arches, Xtreme logos and, optionally, from side steps and a support for the spare wheel in the rear bucket, to a bar with additional lights installed. also on the back.

SVE intends to manufacture 50 examples of this Chevrolet Colorado Xtreme Off-Road, with a starting price of $85,000, but the customer will have to supply the base car, which is not included in the price.
