E-Ulysse 2022: the brand's new electrified van that hits the market in May

Just over a decade ago, Fiat had in its offer a minivan called Ulysse, eliminated from the catalog in 2010, and now the Italian brand has decided to revive that name, for an electric van it called Fiat E-Ulysse 2022.

Ready to launch in Europe from May 2022, this new van is the manufacturer's second all-electric model, and promises an interior with up to 8 seats. As is logical, it is focused on an eminently urban use.

This E-Ulysse hides a motor of 100 kW (136 hp) of power and 260 Nm of maximum torque, like the block that is equipped in other products from Stellantis. Although there are no acceleration figures, we know that its maximum speed is limited to 130 km/h.

The brand will offer two different batteries, with capacities of 50 and 75 kWh, and the larger one announcing a WLTP range of 330 km. In addition, fast charging via direct current will be available, at a maximum of 100 kW, being able to recover 80% of the battery charge in 45 minutes.

According to Fiat, potential customers for this new Fiat E-Ulysse 2022 could be taxi drivers, hotels (for transfer services) or companies looking for zero-emission 'shuttle' fleets, something important in large European cities given the restrictions on other types of vehicles in certain areas.

Of course, different interior configurations are available (12 in total, depending on the brand), with 7 or 8 seats. The Lounge finish, which Fiat describes as a saloon, allows the second row of seats to face the third, with a small work table in the middle.

The eight-seat version adds an additional seat in the second row, but in any case, both the center and rear rows are mounted on rails, so they can be moved and even removed.

As for technology, it comes standard with a 7.0-inch touchscreen, and there are several assistants on offer, such as automatic emergency braking, lane change and blind spot alerts, and the traffic sign recognition system. . The list of options includes elements such as the panoramic roof, leather seats, xenon headlights and the electric tailgate, for example.
