1290 SUPER DUKE R EVO ''BRABUS'' 1300 R
The BRABUS 1300 R is finally a reality. After numerous speculations, this exclusive edition has seen the light. Limited to just 154 units, 77 of them will be sold in the Magma Red color combination. The remaining 77 will be in Signature Black. All copies sold out after being announced.
Based on the KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo, this collaboration between both companies mounts an LC8 engine. It delivers 180 horsepower at 9,500 rpm and 140 Nm of maximum torque at 8,000 rpm. It equips a hydraulically operated PASC clutch as standard and is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds.
Suspension is a semi-active WP Apex configuration. It features six modes: Comfort, Street, Sport, Track, Advanced and Auto. In addition, the rear spring preload can be set within a range of 20 mm, selected from a menu on the 5.0-inch TFT screen. The Advanced setting allows you to select from 8 damping level settings.
It should be noted that there are three automatic settings for automatic preload leveling. They automatically shift to accommodate the driver's weight, including compensation for a passenger when necessary. There is also a switchable anti-immersion setting.
BRABUS works magic in everything it touches and this KTM would be no different. Carbon fiber is the main protagonist. It is present in the headlight housing, in the air ducts, in the front fender, in the small inlet to ventilate the brakes, in the keel, in the lower tray, in the chain guard, in the heel guard, in the clutch covers, in the generator. and in the tank.
CNC machined footpegs include a triple clamp, adjustable front brake and clutch levers, oil reservoirs and oil tank cap, as well as adjustable footpegs. The dry weight is 194 kg and the seat height is 845 mm. The icing on the cake are the beautiful 17-inch BRABUS Monoblock Z forged wheels.
They are shod with Bridgestone S22 Battlax tires. The braking system consists of a pair of 320mm floating discs at the front. They are equipped with 4-piston Brembo Stylema calipers. At the rear axle there is a single 240 mm disc coupled to a two-piston Brembo caliper. Cornering ABS and Supermoto ABS come as standard.
No less eye-catching is the BRABUS twin-tube sliding exhaust. Other outstanding elements are the lithium battery, the seat with personalized heating and the grips with heating at the quick turn of the throttle. And of course, there's no lack of a numbered plate.
