The brand’s SUV is now sold exclusively in the PRO version in the Brazilian market

The Tiggo 5x, the best-selling SUV in the CAOA CHERY line in Brazil, receives a new update and is now sold exclusively in the PRO version. With this, the utility gains more technology, sophistication and changes in design. The novelties are part of CAOA CHERY's commitment to be always on the move and in continuous evolution, seeking to deliver to the national consumer products that are reference in Quality, Technology and Design.

With almost 30 thousand units sold in Brazil since it arrived at dealerships three years ago, the Tiggo 5x has become a sales phenomenon for CAOA CHERY. The expectation is that the new version will further intensify this success, attracting consumers looking for an SUV with an attractive and contemporary design, even more pleasant handling and an equipment package that brings together, as standard and in a single version, the best content in the segment.

Among the novelties of the Tiggo 5x PRO is the CVT transmission, which, together with a new version of the 1.5 Turbo Flex engine, brought performance gains to the vehicle and an even more comfort-focused drivability. In design, the identity of the Tiggo 5x is still present with touches of more refinement and robustness. The interior was extensively renovated and now features a new ergonomic package, a new 10.25-inch multimedia center, color digital panel, and a series of comfort, technology and safety items that transform the experience on board the Tiggo 5x PRO.

The model continues with great internal space and dimensions. It is 4,338 mm long, 1,830 mm wide and 1,645 mm high. The wheelbase is 2,631 mm and the trunk is 340 liters. The entry and exit angles have improved due to the new design: 23.4° and 31.5°, respectively.

Produced nationally at the CAOA Montadora factory in Anápolis (GO), the Tiggo 5x PRO arrives at the CAOA CHERY Dealership with the launch price for prompt delivery of 154,990 reais.

Style and comfort on board...The Tiggo 5x PRO has gained even more personality thanks to new design elements. At the front, the grille with designs in the 'Diamond' format, characteristic of CAOA CHERY's PRO line SUVs, made the look more imposing. The LED DRL lights also get a new style and chrome accents, which combine harmoniously with the completely renewed bumper. On the sides, the 18-inch wheels with an exclusive design for the Brazilian market add sophistication to the Tiggo 5x PRO. The rear, on the other hand, kept the identity of the lanterns, a trademark of the model, and gained right angles that made the look more robust.

Inside, the CAOA CHERY SUV draws attention for its high-level finish, with noble materials, premium coatings and a concern for quality and design. With a technology-inspired look, the interior has two large digital screens: a 10.25-inch touch-sensitive multimedia center with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, one of the largest in the segment, and a 7.0-inch instrument panel. The technological atmosphere is also present in the colored lights on the dashboard and doors, which can be configured with Eco/Sport driving modes or with the rhythm of the music, with seven color options.

The ergonomic package is another highlight. The touch air conditioning panel is integrated into the raised center console that has ergonomically installed controls. Object holder, control of the mirrors, door locking and several other buttons are comfortably accessible to the driver. The seats, covered in premium fabric, have new light gray seams and are also ergonomic. The multifunctional steering wheel has height and depth adjustment and the air conditioning is dual zone, digital, automatic and with temperature indication. Everything was carefully thought out for onboard comfort.

There is also Remote Climate Control (CCD); remote start of the engine by the key; panoramic roof; three USB ports; refrigerated compartment in the center console; electrically adjustable rear view mirrors, automatic folding and defrosting; face-to-face key with approach door locking and unlocking and start button.

Performance and agile handling...Under the hood, the CAOA CHERY Tiggo 5x PRO features a new version of the 1.5 Turbo Flex engine. The engine, already consolidated in the national market, has had improvements such as new electronic engine control systems, injection and heating of 'Flex Fuel' fuel, turbine with electronic control of the Wastegate valve and electronic thermostatic valve. In addition to having undergone a new calibration carried out by the Brazilian engineering of CAOA CHERY to comply with the legislation of PROCONVE L7.

To work with the new version of the 1.5 Turbo Flex engine, the simulated 9-speed CVT transmission arrives, another technology already consolidated in CAOA CHERY models. The new transmission of the Tiggo 5x PRO, as it is continuously variable, does not perform successive gear changes, which consequently makes driving more comfortable, agile and pleasant. In addition, the model now has a Joystick-type lever, more technological, sophisticated and that allows manual changes.

The new calibration of this set provided better performance figures in acceleration and recovery of up to 5% for the Tiggo 5x PRO, without any loss in consumption compared to the previous version. The maximum power remains 150 hp with ethanol and 147 hp with gasoline, as well as the maximum torque of 210 Nm, available from 1,750 rpm to 4,000 rpm.

Technology and security...Technology is another differential of the Tiggo 5x PRO. CAOA CHERY SUV has a high resolution 360 degree camera, which allows a clearer image to observe obstacles around the vehicle. It is also equipped with cruise control and speed limiter with speed indication on the instrument panel.

In terms of safety, more technology: the Tiggo 5x PRO gained a state-of-the-art traction and stability control system. The brakes are discs on all four wheels and work in conjunction with the EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution) system. There are also technologies such as EBA, which automatically enables the deceleration limit during emergency braking; BOS (smart pedal), which identifies an emergency situation and decelerates the vehicle when the accelerator and brake pedals are pressed at the same time; BAS, braking assistance system, which maximizes ABS performance; and ESS, the emergency braking alert system, which flashes the turn signals on both sides (arrows) to signal to drivers behind that sudden braking is taking place.

The suspension system, independent on all four wheels, was also adjusted to improve drivability according to the conditions of the Brazilian roads. The new Tiggo 5x PRO features electronic parking brake, Auto Hold, HDC (electronic descent control), HHC (hill exit assistant) and six airbags (front, side and curtain).
