AUTONEWS

BMW M5 Competition was blown up by homesickness for a friend

Mikhail Litvin is a Russian vlogger who not only lives for the likes of his fans, he lives for the popularity it brings him. And there's always a new excuse to set a car on fire or make it explode, with the Russian's creativity pointing this time towards an alleged tribute to the recent death of a friend. But, analyzing the details and the opinions of friends, we get the idea that it's just another pretext to get a few more “likes”.

Litvin became known for the way he showed his displeasure towards a Mercedes dealer who allegedly couldn't fix his AMG GT 63S 4Matic's problems. That's why the Russian chose to burn it to the last bolt and complete total destruction. If Mercedes was the victim of 2020, in 2021 the sacrifice involved a Porsche Taycan, which Litvin went to see at a brand stand. Once behind the wheel, he started the car and went out the window, with a bang, but ensuring that everything was properly recorded on video, to be posted on his YouTube channel.

Now he has taken a new M5 Competition, which did not belong to him, and destroyed it with the excuse of being devastated by the pain associated with the loss of Said Gubdensky, a friend who was also a vlogger and who died last November, after a crash in his BMW. , in which he was speeding and showing dangerous driving.

The video is far from convincing, with Litvin dousing the M5 with what appears to be a liter of fuel, then hitting it with an incendiary arrow after a few tries. The BMW finally explodes, but the vehicle that goes up in the air could just as well be an M5 as any other version. The veracity of the story is even questioned by Litvin's fans, indicating that the vlogger's credibility leaves something to be desired.
