TOYOTA LAND CRUISER 300 BY TJM: ELEVANDO AS CAPACIDADES OFF-ROAD DO TODO-TERRENO JAPONÊS

Land Cruiser 300 by TJM

The Land Cruiser has always enjoyed remarkable prestige in the 4x4 world, and in certain markets, such as Australia, it is widely used for adventures through the country's most difficult terrain. And to further enhance the capabilities of the new generation of Japanese off-roaders, a local preparer carried out a series of modifications. We're talking about TJM, which has upgraded the Toyota Land Cruiser 300's off-road capabilities.

The Australian preparer has introduced a series of improvements that modify the visual appearance of the Toyota Land Cruiser 300. The most outstanding element, at first glance, is the new bumper with protection bar, specially designed to be compatible with the driving aids and the airbag.

The bumper with protection bar can be black or the color of the body, with a steel winch structure and can drag up to 8,000 kg, in addition to having additional LED daytime running lights, anti-fog lights and turn signals. Thanks to this safety element, the sliding plates and the lower guards protect the mechanical parts from any stones that may appear in the path.

The protection bar extends through the wheel arches, even connecting with the side skirts for added protection. Other modifications are the incorporation of an AirTec snorkel and the luggage rack, which comes with an LED bar and is compatible with other accessories such as a paddle and a retractable tent.

TJM didn't just work on the exterior of Toyota's all-terrain vehicle, as it also modified some chassis points. For example, it installed an XGS suspension with advanced dual-tube dampers with Valving Multi-Stage Velocity-Controlled, as well as dedicated upper control arms.

In addition, it equipped all-terrain tyres, a lift kit that significantly increased ground clearance and improved carrying capacity thanks to an upgrade of the Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) system.

As for the engine that powers this all-terrain vehicle, under the hood is a 3.3 liter V6 turbo diesel engine with double turbo that delivers 304 hp and 700 Nm, distributed among the four wheels through an automatic transmission with 10 relations, with the aid of a central locking differential. TJM's official website informs that the model will be available in 2022, but does not reveal the price, although it already accepts orders.
