Sandero sold at €10,000 in Europe may disappear
The composition of the Sandero range, which is structured into three levels of equipment, will be under review, and it is not clear that the entry version will remain in the catalog – precisely the one that allows the Romanian utility to use an access price as a selling point. to the range below the psychological barrier of €10,000. The information was put forward by the traditionally (very) well-informed L'Argus, with the French publication adding that the possibility of simplifying the structuring of the range is on the table, which will involve replicating in the utility the offer of the crossover variant. Sandero Stepway is only sold in Essential and Comfort levels and the same should happen to Sandero. But, more important than these three arguments, is the position of the CEO of the Renault Group, Luca de Meo, who wants Renault to compete with Peugeot and Dacia to face Citroën, a strategy that will necessarily force a price review upwards, in line with the improvement that the low-cost manufacturer has shown in its most recent releases, including this third generation Sandero. And this is incompatible with the “humble” image and the weak technological endowment of the Access line.
