Totem Automobili offers the classic Alfa Romeo Giulia GT with the 3.9L V6 engine

Within the craze for restomods, there was a very interesting proposal that caught the attention exactly a year ago through a company called Totem Automobili. It was a 100% electric restomod of the classic Alfa Romeo Giulia GT that received the name Totem GT Electric, which stood out not only for its eye-catching neo-retro body, but also for its impressive exclusivity both in units - only 20 copies - as per its price, starting from 430,000 euros.

Now, for those who were fascinated by this restomod, but are looking for more conventional mechanics, or simply prefer the character of a good gasoline engine, Totem Automobili surprised with a combustion version of its restomod that is named Totem GT Super , and which presents itself with the same style as the GT Electric, but now with the famous Alfa Romeo V6 engine that equips the new Giulia GTA.

This new gasoline version, named after the Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti Super of the 60s, also benefits, as expected, from a weight saving compared to the electric version. Exactly 150 kg less to brake the scale at 1,140 kg that purists will be grateful for, and which now comes with the famous 3.9 liter twin-turbo V6 from the new GTA, here with up to three power levels: a first phase with 552 hp, a second with 567 hp and the highest with 612 hp, which make this compact restomod an interesting model. All three arrive accompanied by a ZF automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.

Although information on this new GT Super Totem is sparse for now, Totem has confirmed that, in addition to its powertrain, it shares the rest of the components with its electric twin brother, including a McPherson-type adjustable Bilstein suspension on the front and a multi-arm on the front. rear - although you can also optionally choose one with electronic adjustment or even a pneumatic one - and its carbon fiber bodywork, in addition to its handcrafted and very customizable interior where you can choose between carbon bucket seats or an option a little more comfortable with high quality hand-stitched Nappa leather upholstery.
