Jayco presents the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4x4 motorhome

In the United States the motorcycle home market is really important. That's why there are a lot of specialists in transformations for this market there. Jayco is one of the leading companies in recreational vehicles and has just presented its new and interesting creation. Jayco Terrain, a project created on the basis of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

The aforementioned Mercedes-Benz van is very popular among specialists due to the possibilities it offers when it comes to being transformed. Jayco's proposal is very clear, to offer a vehicle with all kinds of amenities that allow you to leave the asphalt of the big city to enjoy all kinds of adventures in the middle of nature.

Specifically, the Sprinter version that was used as the basis for the project was the 2500 4x4 model, whose wheelbase exceeds 3.5 meters. From then on, Jayco specialists carried out all the relevant modifications to equip the cabin with all the comforts typical of a home. Bathroom with shower and toilet, kitchen with sink, small fridge, induction cooker and a retractable table that extends along the side door.

There is also another folding table in the second row of seats. In fact, the front seat can be swiveled backwards to create a saloon-like area. The only bed is at the rear of the vehicle. A bed that can be folded to take up as little space as possible.

The open area is equipped with all types of supports to secure the load. Another element of the equipment that is worth highlighting is the 48 volt lithium battery that is accompanied by a 3500 watt inverter to provide energy for the entire cabin. In fact, solar panels were installed on the roof. Two water tanks were also installed. One of them destined for gray waters.

Although we started from the base of a Sprinter with 4x4 traction, Jayco went a step further to improve the vehicle's performance off the asphalt. Koni shock absorbers and a rear stabilizer bar were installed. Nor can we ignore the LED exterior lighting system and a set of all-terrain wheels and tires.

Regarding the price, to have a Jayco Terrain ready to use is not at all affordable. The company reports that the starting price is $192,000.
