AUDI

SQ7 V8 TFSI AND SQ8 V8 NOW GAS-MOVED

Until now, the Audi SQ7 and Audi SQ8 were available only with a high-performance turbo diesel engine. Anyone who wanted a petrol version would have to opt for the Audi RS Q8 as the only alternative. However, the Ingolstadt brand has just revealed two specific versions equipped with a powerful 8-cylinder petrol engine. The new Audi SQ7 V8 TFSI and Audi SQ8 V8 TFSI join the line.
Both models have in common a 4.0 liter V8 biturbo engine that develops a power of 507 hp and a maximum torque of 770 Nm. This allows them to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.1 seconds, with a maximum speed limited electronically to 250 km / h. Coupled to this engine is an eight-speed tiptronic transmission that sends all the energy directly to the asphalt through a quattro all-wheel drive system.

For its part, Audi's supercharged 8-cylinder engine includes the Audi Cylinder on Demand (COD) cylinder disconnect technology, which temporarily disables 4 of the 8 cylinders, thus reducing fuel consumption. It is equipped with two double-entry turbos that are located between the 90 degree angle between the two cylinder benches. The exhaust system incorporates controlled valves to improve the sound of the V8 engine.

As standard, both the Audi SQ7 V8 TFSI quattro tiptronic and the Audi SQ8 V8 TFSI quattro tiptronic are equipped with a running gear with the Sport adaptive suspension and Damping Control, as well as a rear steering axle.

Optionally, the Advanced suspension package can be equipped, which includes another element that improves the behavior of both SUVs, the electromechanical active balance stabilization system (eAWS).

Engine response, transmission, suspension and steering can be controlled under different preferences through the seven driving profiles of the Audi Drive Select mode selector, which includes Confort, Auto, Dynamic, Efficiency, Allroad, Offroad and Individual. On the other hand, as standard it has 20-inch wheels, although customers can increase the measurement up to 22 inches in the case of the SQ7, and up to 23 inches in the SQ8.

Also available are the powerful brakes with 400 mm discs and calipers with the S logo. Optionally, the brake equipment can be improved with a system of more powerful and durable carboceramic discs, bitten by larger calipers painted in gray. anthracite.

The new Audi SQ7 and SQ8 with V8 4.0 TFSI engine will reach the European market from October, with prices (in Germany) starting at 93,287 euros for the SQ7 and 101,085 euros for the SQ8.
