Ténéré 1000cc - Fiction or reality

While the market eagerly awaits the first units of the highly anticipated Ténéré 700, there is already talk of a possible evolution of the segment with the use of the CP3 3-cylinder engine that Yamaha mounts on its models MT-09, XSR 900 and Tracers 900 and even in the revolutionary Niken. If we consider what we see in competing brands, namely in KTM, BMW, Triumph and Japanese Kawasaki and Suzuki, we see Adventure models of several displacements with more or less OffRoad fitness however the Ténéré 700 together with the KTM 790 have opened a new segment of motorcycles better prepared for the all-terrain but maintaining a good capacity to reach the tracks by tar, we would say that they are 50/50 road / all-terrain.

If we consider that the heavy XTZ Super Ténéré 1200 is more an Adventure Tourer with less offroad suitability such as the R versions of the KTM / 1090 and 1290, we might think that a new Ténéré with the fantastic tri-cylinder motor of the MT-09 , eventually raised to 1000cc can make all the sense ... right?
Well-known designer Oberdan Bezzi, who has inspired brands so much, proposes precisely a model that expresses this vision and possibility. Long-stroke suspensions, 115 hp three-cylinder engine, 21 "front wheels, mixed tires, longer range and more sophisticated electronics with OffRoad or Enduro mode option.
